Focus of his artistic interest are phenomena of the everyday life. His work is a kind of investigation and treatment of popular social issues. He collects material from publicly available sources such as Google, Wikipedia or from television. This material is the basis for performances and installations with small robots, or video and audio works. His works are prototypes of real life situations. He is interested in shifting the perception by subtle interventions.

His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, e.g.  at the ZKM Karlsruhe, the Ars Electronica Linz, the Documenta X, the ICA London, the Walker Art Museum Minneapolis, Berlinische Galerie Berlin  and the Museum of Modern Art San Francisco.
